Units:
Speeches (70%) - formal and prepared speeches Contribution (20%) - participation/in-class work - informal speeches/practice Accountability (10%) - presenting speeches on time If you are scheduled to give a speech and you do not show up, you will receive a zero unless the following things occur: 1) you contact me before your speech explaining why you will not be in class and 2) you email the completed outline of the speech to the teacher before the start of class that day. If both of these things occur, you can give your speech but it will be considered late and receive reduced credit. Please note: presenting the speeches and developing outlines are a requirement for passing the class. |
